Famicom Kids Club IDs

Background: The Famicom Kids Club was founded by Shigeru Miyamoto, the creator of Mario and Donkey Kong. The English version of that club was named NES Kids Club when it aired on the US J-Kids! TV channel as a part of Game Land block.

Nickname: "Disk-kun", "Mr. Disk", "Disk-kun and Black"

Logo: In the white background, Disk-kun (and in some logos, his rival Black) was doing a certain activity. After that, he says "You're watching the the kids network!".

Variants: Here are some of the variations of the activities included:

  • Basketball: Disk-kun plays basketball alone and shoots it on the hoop.
  • Snow: Disk-kun and Black go on a ski, but trips on a rock and rolls into a snowball. And then they pop out of it. This scene is later used in the Mr. Disk episode "Ski Day".
  • Garden: Disk-kun grows some watermelons in the garden.
  • Balloon: Disk-kun blows a balloon, but the balloon deflates into his mouth, making him inflated into a larger and rounder version. Then, Black came in and hops on the top of the inflated Disk-kun. He then floats away. This scene is later used in the Mr. Disk episode "Mr. DIsk the Balloon".
  • Picnic: Disk-kun and Black were having a picnic. This scene is later used in the Mr. Disk episode "Mr. Disk's Picnic"
  • Bubbles: Disk-kun blows some bubbles.
  • TV: Disk-kun turns on a TV, but a dragon comes out of it and burns Disk-kun in the face.
  • Bees: Disk-kun walks by the beehive, but Black smacks the hive and the bees chases him. Disk-kun laughed.
  • Space: Disk-kun blasts himself to space in his rocket. This scene is later used in the Mr. Disk episode "Mr. DIsk in Outer Space"
  • Swimming: Disk-kun swims with a dolphin.
  • Daydreaming: Disk-kun daydreams about himself in an unnamed beach with winged cats. This scene is later used in the Mr. Disk episode "Mr. Disk is a Princess".
  • Car: Disk-kun and Black rides a car.
  • Bump: Disk-kun plays with rock, but when he throws it up in the air, it hit him in the head, causing a swelling to appear on his head.
  • Jump Rope: Both Disk-kun and Black had a failed attempt to play a jump rope.
  • Punch Bag: Disk-kun punches the bag until it hits him, knocking him out. He then gets up.
Cheesy Factor: The whole logo looks like it was made in the 1980's.

Trivia: Disk-kun previously has his own animated shorts on Fuji TV or J-Kids! TV (both as a part of The Pixies).
