Kontrolepunt Productions Limited (Eutomnia)

Logo descriptions by SnowflakesOmega

This Eutomnian film company, started in 1993, has made into fame as one of the most important filmmakers during the golden age of Eutomnian cinema (1991-2006).

1st Logo

Nicknames: "Ball and Ring I", "B&W Ball and Ring"

Logo: We see a slow-motion, B&W video of a ball being thrown inside a ring. Three seconds after the ball is being thrown, it cuts to the name "KONTROLEPUNT".

FX/SFX: Live-action.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Ultra rare. Was only spotted in 3 low-budget Eutomnian movies during the time by the company. 2 of them were not released to video or ran in TV. The only surviving film with this logo, Die rook van die vergete, is still being distributed because of it's bigger fame.

Scare Factor: None. The cut to the company name is jarring, however, and may catch viewers off-guard.

2nd Logo

Nicknames: "Ball and Ring II"

Logo: On a black background there's a square showing a video of a ring on a dark blue screen. A white ball is thrown to it, and the video freezes once it crosses to the other side. Suddenly, it flashes to a drawing of the freezed frame, as the name "Kontrolepunt Productions Limited" wipes in from both sides below it.

  • A B&W version exists.
  • A still variant of the logo had the final result B&W logo. In later years, the redesigned logo was used.
FX/SFX: The video is live-action, followed by computerized animation for everything else, that is not bad for a logo from the country at the time.

Cheesy Factor: But the video of the ball and ring is pretty low quality.

Music/Sounds: An airy synth chord, a short whoosh, and another synth chord when the logo flashes.

Availability: Common on Eutomnian movies during the time, mostly used exclusively in said country. Appeared on Die Oorlogvoering Slaap, Stad ruiters en ongekende verhale, Onderwys akademies, Markiestent, Steek die lyn, Geslote tyd, it's sequels, and other movies. Still appears in home video releases and TV airings. Also appears in a few dubs of international movies released in Eutomnia.

Scare Factor: Minimal. It's harmless, but also dark. None for the still variant.
