Lost Boys, Inc.

Logo descriptions by Green_lantern40

Background: Lost Boys, Inc. is the production company of the California comedy troupe, the Lost Boys.

1st Logo

Nickname: "The TLB Logo", "CGI DFS Ripoff"

Logo: The same as the logo of DFS Program Exchange from 1979-1986. We start out with a large "TLB" outline in white taking up the entire width of the screen. It suddenly zooms back into a small box atop the screen against a blue background. The word "LOST" zooms into the screen's center from the left while the word "BOYS" does the same from the right. The words stop when "LOST" is atop "BOYS" and the words flash. The TLB logo shines.

Variation: During the opening week of the Lost Boys' movie "Brain Candy" in 2008, the 2002 Paramount Television logo (which usually followed the TLB logo) was seen zooming up in place of the "TLB," and that logo's music replaced the normal jingle. A variation of this logo was also seen at the beginning of "Brain Candy" (see Logo Variations for more information).

FX: All the animation in this logo.

Cheesy Factor: While superior to the DFS Program Exchange logo, the animation is still relatively simple.

Music: The same as the 1979 DFS Program Exchange logo, blaring loud alarm and all.

Availability: Can still be seen on any "Lost Boys" episode of the period.

Scare Factor: Median, on account of that synth music. The transition from the closing credits to the "TLB" logo may also be jarring.

2nd Logo

Nickname: "The Fan", "The Flying Saucer"

Logo: We see a rapidly spinning black circle outlined in grey. After a second, it zooms back. The word "LOST" spins once around it and stops on its left side. The word "BOYS" does the same thing afterwards and stops on its right. The circle stops and a star forms in the middle of the black circle. "INC." fades in at the bottom.

FX: The spinning circle, the words spinning and stopping.

Cheesy Factor: The star forming is a little primitive.

Music: From 2009 to 2012, the music from the 1986 DFS-Dorland Program Exchange logo was used. From 2012 to 2015, the music from the 1993 Program Exchange logo was heard.

Availability: Both logos can be seen on any "Lost Boys" episode of their respective eras.

Scare Factor: Median to high for the 2009-2012 variant and median for the 2012-2015 variant. The 2009 version's music can cause some scares. The general fast-paced animation of both logos can also be unnerving.
