Moving Flag Productions

Background: TBA

1st Logo
(1978-1986)

Nickname(s): "The Moving Flag"

Logo: On a black background or superimposed on the closing scene of the TV movie, we see a 2D moving flag. Below it there's the text "MOVING FLAG PRODUCTIONS". Copyright info can be seen below, or sometimes none.

Variants:

  • On early films, the flag isn't moving.
  • Later films had a CGI version of the flag.
FX/SFX: The flag moving.
Music/Sounds: The closing theme of the TV movie.
Availability: Can be found on early TV movies made by Moving Flag Productions. They haven't reran in years, so people would check their VHS tapes to find this logo. Some examples of early Moving Flag movies include Searching Somebody, Hot War and Ghosts Of Canada.
Scare Factor: None. However, this isn't scary as the next logo seen below.
2nd Logo(1986-2005)
Nickname(s): "The Moving MFP Flag (of Doom)"
Logo: On a dark blue background, a white flag with the letters "MFP" (the initials of the company's name) zooms in to the screen. 3 seconds later the flag folds into a line and falls down, revealing the zooming text:
MOVING FLAGPRODUCTIONS
The text then stops and shines.
Trivia: The flag with the MFP letters was also used at the company's print logo of the time, with the flag seen next to the company's name.
Variants:
  • In 2002, the logo was redesigned.
  • Some movies have copyright info below the text.
FX/SFX: The zooming, folding and falling. All done in CGI.

Music/Sounds: A dramatic flute, then a gong, and finally a loud, scary 3-note orchestral theme.
Availability: It's found on TV movies made by Moving Flag from the time.
Scare Factor: Medium to high. The zooming of the flag and text accompanied by the creepy music and dark background can be found creepy for some people, especially for those who haven't seen it.

3rd Logo(2005-)
