Nickelodeon (South Africa) Opening Bumpers

Background: On April 1, 1996 Nickelodeon signs on for the first time in South Africa. It was quickly named South Africa's Most Watched Kid's Channel. In 2010 it had a campaign for the FIFA World Cup, held in Johannesburg.

Calling Cades (South Africa Variant)

Nicknames: "African Calling Cades", "Nicke-odeon"

ID: We see the old "Calling Cades" bumper play normal until it gets to where the "NICKELODEON" normally flashes when they get in the TV. The whole screen flashes and then we see a still shot of them in the TV. The words "SOUTH AFRICA" (in the same font as "NICKELODEON") appear.

Variant: Started on June 11, 2010 and will end on July 11, 2010 it has a byline saying "OFFICIAL KID'S CHANNEL OF THE 2010 FIFA WORLD CUP".

FX: Animated until the flash. None afterwards.

Trivia: The first half of the bumper was originally the American version.

Cheesy Factor: Same as the American version.

Music/Sounds: Same as the American version though a person says "Nicke-odeon Saouth Africa" at the end.
