Background: This was a video game company that was founded in 1985. However, they din't use a logo until 1988.

1st Logo

Nicknames: "The Early Nightvision Eye", "The Nightvision Eye I", "The 8-Bit Eye", "Rainbow Eye"

Logo: On a black background, a rainbow wipes in, and then morphs into a eye. The words "N I G H T V I S I O N" then appear below.


  • On Game Boy games, the logo is still.
  • Sometimes, the background is white.
FX/SFX: Everything.

Cheesy Factor: The animation is not bad for the 8-bit era.

Music/Sounds: None.

Scare Factor: Minimal. The eye looks scary.

2nd Logo

Nicknames: "The Nightvision Eye II", "16-Bit Eye", "Space Eye"

Logo: In space, we see the Nightvision eye zooming out, along with "N I G H T V I S I O N".


  • Sometimes, the logo is still.
  • Sometimes, the logo is shown along with the Deep Space Interactive logo.
FX/SFX: Only the zooming out.

Music/Sounds, None, but sometimes, a whoosh is heard. The Deep Space variant has a evil laugh.

Availability: Rare. Seen on Nightvision games released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System and the Sega Genesis.

Scare Factor: Minimal for the normal version, while high for the Deep Space variant.

3rd Logo

Nickname: "The Nightvision Eye Logo III", "Blue Nightvision Eye", "Laser Eye", "Nightvision Eye of Doom"

Logo: On a black background, a blue laser carves the Nightvision eye. Then "N I G H T V I S I O N" appears zooms out. The words and the eye then shines.

  • Like the 2nd logo, the logo sometimes was still.
  • In some games, the laser was red and the logo is shown on a metallic background.
  • On High Load, the metallic version of the logo is seen, but "N I G H T V I S I O N" is missing.
FX/SFX: Everything.

Music/Sounds: A loud phaser sound, along with a whoosh.

Music/Sounds Variant: The High Load variant has another phaser sound.

Availability: This logo was used for games for the 3DO, Atari Jaguar, and Sega Saturn.

Scare Factor: Medium, mainly of the eye and the phaser sound, but it's a good logo.

4th Logo

Nicknames: "The Nightvision Eye IV", "Transforming Eye"

Logo: We see the eye from the previous logos in blue. The eye then spins, zooms in, blurs and transforms to the words "N i g h t V i s i o n". The words then turn red.


  • In 1998 games, green confetti falls down to form the eye, then the eye transforms to the company's name. Then "10th Aniversary" and "1988-1998" zooms out below.
  • Sometimes, the logo is still.
  • Many games have the eye yellow.
FX/SFX: Everything.

Music/Sounds: A held deep bass note, along with many sounds.

Availability: On games for the Playstation 1 and 2, Nintendo 64, Sega Saturn and Dreamcast.

Scare Factor: Low to medium. The animation is too fast, but not very scary.

5th Logo

Logo: We see a starry sky. Then some stars move around and form the word "NightVision" with the "V" more bigger than the other words. The starry sky then fades out.

Variants: TBA

FX/SFX: The stars moving and forming the name.

Music/Sounds: Wind blowing.

Availability: TBA

Scare Factor: None, unless the "V" scares you.
