Philli Video (Philippines)

Background: Philli Video is a home video company which distributes low-budget and independent films. They started their bussiness by making VCDs in 2006, then they moved to DVD on 2010.

1st Logo

Philli Video (2006)

Nickname(s): "The Tame Atlas Internaional/North American Releasing"

Logo: On a map of the entire world with the landmasses colored old gold and the waterways white, we see the text "PHILLI" in green with a gold border zoom in to the middle of the screen from the Philippines. The map then fades to black.

FX/SFX: The word zooming, the map fading. Simple animation.

Cheese Factor: The whole animation is good, but it looks like a rip-off of the North American Releasing logo.

Music/Sounds: A piano note which is gated when the text starts zooming, then a long synth pad note.

Availability: Rare. Seen on Philli VCDs, which now are hard to find.

Scare Factor: None. Besides being a rip-off of the North American Releasing logo, the logo isn't extremely scary, since the music is replaced by a calming one and the zoom in used is very smooth.

2nd Logo

Philli Video (2010)

Logo: On a black background, we see a "glowing" transparent red cube. It starts spinning around, and when the cube gets into it's desired position, it zooms out. The word "philli" fades in below.

FX/SFX/Cheesy Factor: The cube glowing, spinning and zooming out, and the word fading in, but the center bit is bulgy.

Music/Sounds: A electronic tune with drums, a reverse crash and a deep "boom" sound.

Availability: Currently in use. Can be found on new DVD releases by Philli.

Scare Factor: Minimal. A bit dark, but not very scary.
