Sony-MGM-Columbia/Tristar, Inc.

Background: Formely known as MGM/UA-Columbia in 1984 and MGM-Pathe/Columbia in the early '90s. This was a secondary company for all the companies in Hollywood, even if a different company released the film.

(1984-1986)

Logo: We see the Columbia 1980s logo in a box in the left, while the MGM/UA Diamond Jubilee logo is on another in the right. MGM/UA-Columbia is seen above the boxes, a pattern background of MGM (Jackie The Lion) & Columbia (1930s) logos are present.

FX/SFX: The Columbia logo, and the MGM/UA logo.

Music/Sounds: The MGM/UA Fanfare with Leo's 1982 roar. Sometimes, the MGM/UA fanfare wouldn't play.

Avalibility: Seen on The Dobern Brothers by Turner Pictures, and Mystery Of Oz by MGM/UA.

Scare Factor: Same as the Columbia & MGM logos.

(1986-1987)

Logo: Same as the last logo, but the Diamond Jubilee logo is replaced by the normal logo.

FX/SFX: Same as last

Music/Sounds: The 1982 roar, no MGM/UA fanfare.

Avalibility: Seen on The Dobern Brothers Meet The Nrebod Sisters by Turner Pictures, and Western Trail by Columbia.

Scare Factor: 1st Logo.

Logo 3
(1987-1990)

Logo: We see the MGM/UA Communications logo, but when it finishes with the red lines, we see the MGM logo zoom out on the left side, while the Columbia logo fades in on the other side.

FX/SFX: The logo says it all.

Music/Sounds: The 1987 roar.

Avalibility: Seen on The Dobern Family, the MGM/UA logo variant is only on MGM movies.

Scare Factor: See 1st Logo.

(1990-1993)

Logo: Same as last, but the text now says "MGM-Pathe/Columbia".

FX/SFX, M/S, AV, SF: 3rd Logo says all the rest

Logo: The MGM logo is seen on the left, while the 1993 Columbia logo is on the right. The text is MGM/Columbia.

Avalibility: Seen on the last Dobern Brothers movie, Seen on Cocktail by 20th Century Fox, at the time, this company was shut down until 2012.

Logo: The Columbia & Tristar logos is in two squares. The MGM logo is in the middle, and "Sony-MGM-Columbia/Tristar" is the text.

FX/SFX: Same as the Columbia, Tristar, and MGM logos.

Music/Sounds: The 2008 MGM lion roar

Avalibility: Seen on Cloudy With A Chance Of MORE Meatballs by Columbia, and Game Show by Warner Brothers.

Scare Factor: Medium. The Columbia, Tristar, MGM logos might scare some.
